Course description

Students are introduced to the elements of the Tourism industry and how they relate to each other. Students study the roles of organizations and associations, as well as the influence of the economy and environment on this global industry. Students explore future trends and opportunities facing the hospitality industry and the greater tourism industry, including the many different career opportunities.

Students registering for credit courses for the first time must declare a program at the point of registration. Declaring a program does not necessarily mean students must complete a program, individual courses may be taken for skill improvement and upgrading.
